Above: Persian hand-made vintage. Vintage has become very high in demand over the last few years which has led to modernizing the method. Hand made rugs are shaved, sometimes in different depths to create a more authentic look and then the whole rug is dipped in dye to solidify the aged look. Many people prefer the vintage design as it is a bridge between modern and classic, so it compliments a home with modern furnishes. The vintage design is also a rug for all seasons, i.e. the dyed look is good for summer and the traditional undertone is warm for winter.
